The Role 

Working closely with the Buying & Store Operations team, the Merchandise Operations Coordinator is responsible for communicating and coordinating merchandising initiatives to stores and working with brands to enable their vision in store. The Merchandise Operations Coordinator is also responsible for maintaining space repository for their own category and reports to the Merchandise Operations Lead. 

This is a 12-month parental leave contract opportunity. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Answer any queries from stores related to merchandising and brand roll-outs 
  • Coordinate and work with brands on branded display roll-outs 
  • Coordinate maintenance requests associated with branded supplier displays 
  • Prepare and communicate all merchandising initiatives to stores including set up guides, planograms, install advice and approved branded activities (ie promotional signage, demonstrations, rep visits) 
  • Maintaining spreadsheets  
  • Performing store audits 
  • Management of signage, artwork, quotes, purchase orders, supplier funded reconciliation, budget reconciliation 
  • Consider security, safety and practical implications for product roll outs 
  • Support store teams during relays including providing details of layouts, planograms, signage orders and delivery chasing up etc and working in store to educate and ensure the store works are completed to standard 
  • Testing of planograms and branded displays in stores. This involves doing the testing of department or displays in store, taking detailed notes and reporting back to category or brand 
  • Taking notes in all meetings and circulating to the attendees 
  • Maintaining floor plan detail for all store changes 
  • Processing invoices  
  • Attending brand and category meetings and taking meeting notes, supporting branded and category activities with store communications. 
    Checking compliance on merchandising activities and following up where required 

 Skills & Experience: 

  • Proficient experience across Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word essential 
  • Very organised and action oriented 
  • Able to work under pressure and manage multiple projects/stakeholders at once 
  • Attention to detail a must 
  • Customer mindset in all that you do 
  • Understanding of visual merchandising and category development 
  • Marketing Graduate desirable 
  • Project management skills ideal 
  • Adaptable to changing circumstances
