About the position

We are looking for motivated, experienced (forklift licensed) warehouse operators to join our new Home Delivery Centre, located in Melbourne’s western suburbs.  Applicants must have demonstrated experience in fast paced high volume RF enabled warehousing environment, preferably with demonstrated clamp handling experience of bulky goods.    The focus of this role is to perform accurate and efficient inbound and outbound warehouse type activities within the Home Delivery Centre (HDC) to support HDC outcomes and deliver to the needs of our customers.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Good receiving, stock checking and put away
  • Goods picking, labelling, staging and assistance with dispatch
  • Support for customer pick-up (requires manual goods handing)
  • Support with all site waste stream management related tasks
  • Assistance with cyclical stocktakes and adhoc cycle counts
  • Comply with site and company and policy requirements, with particular emphasis on site standards (eg housekeeping), safe work practices and incident reporting
  • Comply with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) safe operating procedures
  • Work collaboratively as part of the HDC team to deliver a positive experience for our customers and store teams
  • Use of  RF based Warehouse Management Systems and other enabling tools / resources
  • Observance of supplier chain of responsibility adherence and escalate noncompliance in line with required standards
  • Other tasks deemed required based on knowledge and experience as required by HDC site leadership

 About our ideal candidate:

  • Current MHE Licences (LF & LO)
  • Year 12 education
  • At least 3 years’ warehouse experience
  • Understanding of Warehouse Management Systems & RF technology
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team
  • Highly motivated with a good work ethic
  • Reliable transport (car)
  • Must be available across 7 days a week
