About the role

As the Education Account Manager, you will be primarily responsible for identifying and driving new business opportunities, building long-term partnerships and providing clients with innovative solutions that are tailored specifically to their education business needs.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Creating and delivering upon a clear strategy of new School acquisition (new business) and retention of key accounts (Schools) assigned to you
  • Engage in Business Development activities to win new clients in the Education sector, predominantly K-12 Schools, Universities and Higher Education, Early Learning Centre’s, Education departments and Catholic Dioceses
  • Understand the client’s objectives, buying criteria and decision-making process and form long-term business partnerships
  • Actively and successfully manage the sales process from start to finish including managing and maintaining your sales pipeline, ensuring all sales enquiries are followed through
  • Identify and grow opportunities within your State /Territory and collaborate with sales team to ensure maximum growth
  • Liaising with internal staff (sales coordinator, pre-sales, practices managers and management) for support, reporting, resourcing of projects as required

 

About you

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience working within the Education sector, either as an educator recently moved into a sales role, or as an Account Manager or Business development manager with experience within the Education industry.  If no education experience, experience of selling within the IT, Audio, Visual & Interactive or Managed service industry will be beneficial
  • Experience in adopting a Solutions sales approach in selling I.T Solutions, STEM/STEAM and Audio, Visual & Interactive industry
  • Experience with Salesforce (highly beneficial)
  • Experience in Microsoft Office (high beneficial)
  • Experience of using social media platforms, in particular LinkedIn
  • Current Driver’s License
