About the Role

As the Online Technology Operations Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting the technology that underpins online operations of JB Hi-Fi New Zealand. This is an important role to maintaining availability and presence of jbhifi.co.nz, which our customers depend on for information and the ability to shop online. You will also be responsible for, but not limited to the following:

  • Establish and execute on processes that are designed to minimise any disruption to operations through the introduction of changes to the website. This will include:
    - Coordinate and execute testing in the UAT environment
    - Deployment and verification into production
  • Execute administration and technical diagnostic tasks, checks and reporting, including:
    - Configuration of various parameters in the website (eg. Store hours)
    - Run diagnostics, viewing and analysing logfiles and database entries
  • Establish and execute a monitoring regime to maintain system availability and respond rapidly to issues
  • Collate, establish and periodically review & update documentation on the ‘as-built’ environment with technologies, vendors, escalation paths and relevant contact information
  • Contribute to the general improvement of customer experience

About You

This role will suit a professional who loves digital platform testing and deployment methodologies and procedures to increase customer satisfaction. Your passion for supporting complex online e-commerce platforms (any experience in EpiServer would be ideal), coupled with your drive and motivation will see your success in this role. You will also possess:

  • Relevant IT Degree or industry certification/experience
  • Skills and experience in general troubleshooting involving testing, log analysis, database analysis
  • Experience in database queries, especially with MS SQL
  • Development experience (.Net) would be valuable
  • Some exposure / experience in cloud platforms (AWS) and content distribution networks (Akamai)
